Vinadio is a well-known holiday resort in the Stura Valley on the way connecting Italy to France through Maddalena hill. For this reason fortifications have been raised here making the small town become popular. In particular the “Albertine” fortifications, conceived in 1830 to protect the region from potential invasions, represent an imposing work with its thick walls and spectacular corridors. Recently restructured the Albertine Fort hosts the permanent exhibition Montagna in movimento.
We also suggest you to visit the fourteenth century San Fiorenzo church and the Sant’Anna sanctuary, the higher in Europe at an altitude of 2010 mt. The renowned Vinadio thermal baths are not far from the Hotel at an altitude of 1325 mt. In summertime Vinadio is the point of departure of several wonderful excursions on the mountains bording on France and all water sports (rafting, fishing, etc.) can be done.
In winter you can do cross-country skiing on the tracks made famous by Stefania Belmondo.
